Wood-Fired Pizza with Grass-Fed Beef Three Ways


Who doesn’t love pizza? And putting grass-fed beef on it really makes pizza that much more delicious! Top your pizza three different ways with grass-fed beef and other toppings, and fire it up in a pizza oven. For each of the recipes below, you’ll need one pizza dough. Ground Beef & Fresh Mozzarella with Basil 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 classic pizza dough
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella ball, sliced 
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves 
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano 
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 pound Verde Grass-Fed Ground Beef
  • Crushed red pepper flakes to taste 
  • Salt and pepper 

 

Directions

  1. Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe. 
  2. In a medium saucepan, cook ground beef. Season with garlic powder and oregano, and salt and pepper to taste. While cooking, break up the ground beef with a wooden spoon to give it a crumbly texture. Set aside once cooked. 
  3. Roll out pizza dough and brush with olive oil. 
  4. Add a thin layer of tomato sauce, leaving an edge for the crust. 
  5. Add sliced fresh mozzarella and ground beef crumbles.
  6. Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
  7. After cooking, top with fresh basil and red pepper flakes

 

Sliced Grass-Fed Ribeye with Caramelized Onions, Gruyere & Mushrooms

 

Ingredients

  • 1 classic pizza dough
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Verde Grass-Fed Ribeye
  • 1/2 cup grated gruyere cheese
  • 1 sweet onion, sliced 
  • 1 8 oz. container sliced mushrooms
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper 

 

Directions

  1. Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe. 
  2. Season ribeye with salt and pepper to taste. 
  3. Add oil to a saute pan on medium-low heat. Add sliced onions to the pan and stir every five minutes. 
  4. When the onions become soft and tender, add mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms are soft. 
  5. Sear ribeye in a cast-iron pan or throw it on the grill. Cook to your desired doneness using a meat thermometer. We recommended medium-rare.
  6. Let the ribeye rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Roll out pizza dough and brush with olive oil. 
  8. While the steak is resting, add gruyere cheese to your pizza. 
  9. Thinly slice the ribeye.
  10. Add ribeye slices, onions, and mushrooms to the pizza. 
  11. Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
  12. Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve. 

 

White Pizza with Grass-Fed Sirloin and Arugula

 

Ingredients

  • 1 classic pizza dough
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella 
  • 2 Verde Grass-Fed Sirloin Steaks 
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese 
  • Handful of arugula
  • Salt and pepper 

 

Directions

  1. Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe. 
  2. Season sirloin with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook sirloin to your desired doneness using a meat thermometer. We recommend medium-rare.
  4. Take sirloin off the pan and let rest for five minutes.
  5. Roll out your pizza dough and brush with olive oil. 
  6. Add a layer of shredded mozzarella to your pizza.
  7. Arrange dollops of ricotta on top of the pizza. 
  8. Slice sirloin and arrange the slices on top of your pizza. 
  9. Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Top with fresh arugula and enjoy!
