Wood-Fired Pizza with Grass-Fed Beef Three Ways

Who doesn’t love pizza? And putting grass-fed beef on it really makes pizza that much more delicious! Top your pizza three different ways with grass-fed beef and other toppings, and fire it up in a pizza oven. For each of the recipes below, you’ll need one pizza dough. Ground Beef & Fresh Mozzarella with Basil
Ingredients
- 1 classic pizza dough
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 oz. fresh mozzarella ball, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 pound Verde Grass-Fed Ground Beef
- Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe.
- In a medium saucepan, cook ground beef. Season with garlic powder and oregano, and salt and pepper to taste. While cooking, break up the ground beef with a wooden spoon to give it a crumbly texture. Set aside once cooked.
- Roll out pizza dough and brush with olive oil.
- Add a thin layer of tomato sauce, leaving an edge for the crust.
- Add sliced fresh mozzarella and ground beef crumbles.
- Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
- After cooking, top with fresh basil and red pepper flakes
Sliced Grass-Fed Ribeye with Caramelized Onions, Gruyere & Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 classic pizza dough
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 Verde Grass-Fed Ribeye
- 1/2 cup grated gruyere cheese
- 1 sweet onion, sliced
- 1 8 oz. container sliced mushrooms
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe.
- Season ribeye with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add oil to a saute pan on medium-low heat. Add sliced onions to the pan and stir every five minutes.
- When the onions become soft and tender, add mushrooms and continue cooking until the mushrooms are soft.
- Sear ribeye in a cast-iron pan or throw it on the grill. Cook to your desired doneness using a meat thermometer. We recommended medium-rare.
- Let the ribeye rest for 5 minutes.
- Roll out pizza dough and brush with olive oil.
- While the steak is resting, add gruyere cheese to your pizza.
- Thinly slice the ribeye.
- Add ribeye slices, onions, and mushrooms to the pizza.
- Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
- Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
White Pizza with Grass-Fed Sirloin and Arugula
Ingredients
- 1 classic pizza dough
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 Verde Grass-Fed Sirloin Steaks
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- Handful of arugula
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Prepare pizza dough according to the recipe.
- Season sirloin with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook sirloin to your desired doneness using a meat thermometer. We recommend medium-rare.
- Take sirloin off the pan and let rest for five minutes.
- Roll out your pizza dough and brush with olive oil.
- Add a layer of shredded mozzarella to your pizza.
- Arrange dollops of ricotta on top of the pizza.
- Slice sirloin and arrange the slices on top of your pizza.
- Using a woodfired pizza oven at 900 degrees cook temp, fire in the pizza oven for 1-2 minutes.
- Top with fresh arugula and enjoy!
