We know what you’re thinking, how are you going to cook a marinated flank steak during the winter months? Get out your trusty cast iron pan, and here is how you can do it.
What you’ll need
1 lb of Verde Carne Asada Flank Steak
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
1 yellow onion, halved and sliced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 tbsp of cumin
1 tsp of salt
1-2 garlic cloves
Salsa (optional; dealer’s choice)
Queso fresco (optional; dealer’s choice)
Sour cream (optional; dealer’s choice)
What you’ll do with it
Step 1: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium to high heat. Add onions and cook until they’re softened. Add in bell peppers and cook until they start to soften.
Step 2: Lower to medium heat, add garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Cook until peppers are completely softened. Mix in the cilantro and remove from your pan from heat.
Step 3: Grab your tortillas and wrap them in foil. Warm them in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4: Heat your cast iron skillet over medium to high heat. Place your Verde Carne Flank Steak on the skillet and sear for 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove the flank steak and place onto a cutting board. Let sit for 10 minutes and then cut into ½ inch strips.
Step 5: Serve your cooked veggies, Verde carne asada flank steak, salsa, queso fresco, and sour cream.
Step 6: Wrap all your goodies into a tortilla and enjoy!
